Jaromír Hanzal Elected to DIGITALEUROPE Executive Board
DIGITALEUROPE elected a new Executive Board at this year’s Summer Summit 2024.
The Executive Board of DIGITALEUROPE consists of 10 representatives of the national trade associations associated in DIGITALEUROPE and 10 CEOs of member companies. Its main task is to define the mission and objectives of DIGITALEUROPE as an advisory body, to set future priorities, and to decide on plans and strategic objectives. The Board of Directors approves policy positions that are submitted to the General Assembly for approval. It also appoints the chairs of DIGITALEUROPE’s policy and working groups and coordinates their work.
A significant milestone for AAVIT and the Czech Republic
The election of Jaromír Hanzal as a member of the DIGITALEUROPE Board of Directors is a recognition of our work and activity in Europe’s largest digital association. Jaromír Hanzal will be on the board of directors alongside other representatives of major industry associations such as techUK, Ametic, ITL, as well as representatives of global digital giants such as Siemens, Intel, Bosch, Nokia and SAP.
This success also represents another important milestone in AAVIT’s growth and strengthening of our position in the Czech Republic and Europe. We are ready to actively engage in the debate on the future shape of the digital economy that will take place in the coming months in light of the recent European Parliament elections.
AAVIT is a young association and the first ever Czech member of DIGITALEUROPE. My election to the Executive Board is a seal of approval for the entire AAVIT team for the intensive work done over the last three years. In my new role, I want to focus even more on cutting red tape for SMEs, improving the environment for start-ups and promoting international cooperation.
