NTA summit DIGITALEUROPE

The NTA (National IT Association) DIGITALEUROPE Summit will take place in Prague on 3 and 4 May 2022. On this occasion, the Director General of DIGITALEUROPE, Ms. Cecilie Bonefeld-Dahl, and representatives of IT associations from all over Europe will come to Prague. The Summit has been convened in Prague due to the upcoming Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2022.

The summit will include a review of DIGITALEUROPE’s activities in the past period and the situation in Ukraine, discussion of European legislative acts in the field of IT and digitalization, discussion of the priorities of the Czech Presidency in the same area and meetings of thematic working groups. Prior to the Summit, there will also be informal meetings between Ms. Bonefeld-Dahl and several ministers of the Czech government and other key stakeholders to align the positions of DIGITALEUROPE and the Czech Republic for the coming period.

AAVIT, as a member of DIGITALEUROPE, is heavily involved in the organization of the summit and is helping to establish contacts between DIGITALEUROPE and Czech representatives. It can be expected to continue its role as a mediator between Europe’s largest digital association and the Czech administration during the Czech Presidency. This will give it the chance to influence the drafting of key European legislation and promote the interests of its members and the Czech IT sector.
